Let’s go fly a kite!

What a beautiful weekend it was!  Here’s BB just being silly, walking backwards with some roses.

On Saturday, my friend came to visit and we went to two parks and played and played and played!

BB got a little giggly.

And she enjoyed some crab.  Yippee, as we’re off to the beach in a week!

I took her to the park again the next day.

And she practiced sunbathing.

That evening, over dinner, we noticed a nice wind, so we left the dirty dishes on the table, grabbed a kite and took off to the park.

BB enjoyed that quite a bit.

Then one of her buddies showed up and made things even better!

BB flew and launched!

Her friend gave it a try.

Then off to the playground.

And then it was time to go home.

Yes, it was a lovely weekend.  One more week of work and school, then we’re off to the beach for a week!!!  Woo hoo!

  1. Funny thing – the other day we remembering how much you loved to fly kites. So happy to see Bing~Bing does too and so well!

    • Cuz, I loved seeing her having so much fun flying the kite. She couldn’t wait to do it! In fact, she wanted to fly it in the house, just outside the house… It was difficult to explain that we needed to get to a field, then define field. It was quite a little adventure. When seeing both girls fly I was trying to figure out when they’ll be ready for stunt kites. Then I was imagining them doing various power kite sports – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_kite . BB was doing some funky little dance thing while flying and I could just see her doing this awesome sport/ dance where the kite lifts you off the ground and you do acrobatics to music, having extra time off the ground because of the lift of the kite. Yeah baby, you can dance with a kite!

  2. What fun! That last picture really grabbed me – so sweet 🙂

  3. what a lot of fun! her smile always makes me feel happy. and kite flying? well, that is something that is very close to my heart… 🙂

  4. Wonderful! We aren’t going to make it to the beach when you are there, in fact right now we don’t know yet when we will get there, but enjoy it. Think of me as you enjoy Mack & Mankos and the bubble tea. One day, yes one day, we will meet up with you there.
