On a bus in China about a year ago.

On the train to Chinatown today.

Hanging out in Guangzhou (oh how warm it was!)

Hanging out in Chinatown today (oh how cold, cold, cold!)

Soon after we met in our hotel room, examining her pacifier.

Checking out her sunglasses today

The Peking Duck was fabulous!  Bing-Bing loved the duck, but even more the hoisen sauce for dipping.  I never knew anyone who would eat hoisen sauce with a spoon.

This evening after dinner, she herded and corralled us into the kitchen.  She pushed us together into a hug.  We picked her up for a family-hug (we do these often, but always parent-initiated).  After putting her down, she opened the baby gate, and herded us to the dining room and did it all over again.  Yes, I think she’s glad we are a family.

We have “big family hugs” too. M loves them!

  5. She is like twice as big as she was then. I guess that is how it happens! Happy family day.
