Rumors about us?

Holy cow, there were 607 hits yesterday!  Then I go to the Rumor Queen and read there are rumors about us!  Heavens to Betsy Ross, people.  Suddenly we’re interesting.  Jeez.

Well, for those of you who need your rumors dispelled, here’s the scoop.  We were questioned in The Review Room.  Basically, we were asked to provide additional documentation that said exactly the same thing that was already in our home study, including verification.  It relates to things that would disqualify us under the new rules.  I won’t say more here, but will accept private emails on the subject.  Anyway, CCAA told our agency then that we would be matched, but that we were being assigned a new LID in early December.  Our original LID was October 31, 2005.  Our agency’s first December LID is December 5, so that’s what we were given as an estimate.  We never knew for sure what it is.  Here we lived in fear it was later.  Heh — we were wrong.  Sometimes wrong is good.  Also, we are the only traditional family to be matched by our agency this month.  I’m not sure if that’s related or not.

Congratulations again and again and again!

    You have waited so long!

  3. I was wondering if you were the family that RQ mentioned the other evening. Funny, isn’t it. Maybe a bit surreal in a way? Would be for me. BTW, I posted your announcement on the ALT board b/c I didn’t think that you’d mind – may account for some of those hits…? What a trip, though, folks are ravenous for information…and baby pictures.

Can’t wait to hear more of your news and travel plans. Bring on the Target Shopping Pictures.

  4. What’s the going wait for travel these days?? So very thrilled to hear you can start packing.

  5. Okay……I know why the extended wait and I think it’s all bull but rules will always be biased and not usually towards the direction!
You guys now have a beautiful little girl and will make the best parents any child could ever hope for. Go prove those rules wrong!
Wanting the very best for a child is never a bad thing but sometimes the very best things in the world are packaged differently!

  6. Let them talk, who’re a mom. Congrats, she is precious
