First Christmas ~ Part I

Today we had our Christmas celebration with my family at our house. Just as the guests were arriving there was a mishap outside between a tree and a power line. No big deal, but our street was closed for a few hours and we were without power for about 45 minutes after dinner. The only problem was we didn’t get to heat up the mince pie or the whiskey for flaming the plum pudding. No biggie. Here is a picture of the table before we ate. And another during dessert. This is one of my favorite ornaments. It is made out of vegetable ivory, which
comes from a tagua palm.

  1. Yikes, sorry about the power outage! You must have a very flexible family. Sounds like you still had a good time.

  2. Gorgeous ornament! Glad the power outage didn’t cause any worse trouble than it could have!

  3. Love the ornament! Your table looks beautiful too!
