Last Saturday at the petting zoo

Last Saturday The Husband and I went out to a petting zoo at an “Amish farm” with his cousin’s family, including their little girl. The “farm” is a tourist attraction that has been run over by Target and a strip mall. There are Amish within a mile, but not at this farm. The kidlet loves animals, especially horses. Here she is with The Husband and the nana.

Next, she is practicing for her driver’s exam in 15 years.

Apparently it is never to early to begin studying.

Finally, we have proud Mr. Turkey & the Ram.Child’s photo posted with parental permission.

  1. That is one super cool turkey! Cute lil’ kidlet, too!

  2. Ummmm… That’s not a turkey! That’s a bantam cock. Girl, you have to see the turkeys up here! They’re big enough to walk up to your car and demand the keys! We are going to need to work on your farm animals and farm animal noises before Kidlet comes!

  3. Oh and I just looked again….. that’s a goat there. Rams are sheep. You better get to Maine. We have A LOT of work ahead of us! We can start with dogs, cats, and ferrets and move on. And I know from previous posts that you’ll enjoy the game of identifying the Animal Roadkill! Badgers and beavers are hard at first but you learn to look for the tail… it’s a dead give away!

  4. Ooops. I did know that was a goat. I just happened to look at a picture of a ram (not posted) right before writing this post. Rooster, chicken, turkey, bantam cock ~ sorry, they’re all the same to me.
